Fun fact: A year after Anne of Green Gables was first published, people from all over the world traveled to Prince Edward Island in search of Avon Lea! This was long before travel was an easy thing.

I can’t fathom the millions of tourism dollars that LM Montgomery’s storytelling has brought into the island.
