In the Room

I sit before you
as you kneel
to wash my feet
rubbing lotion
into my soles
to bring the calm
of this room
into my body

I don’t feel worthy

you have a
settling energy
your voice soft and sweet
calls me to the table
where I
disrobe
and lie down
naked but for this
soft cotton towel

the room is warm
but not hot
I could sleep but
don’t want to
I see your toes
through the hole where
my face rests
nice red nail polish adorning
each toe but one
painted blue with a
love heart

cute feet
I smile
wondering if your fingernails
match your toes
I likely won’t see them
but I wonder anyway

hey
stay in the room
stay in the moment
don’t let your
thoughts pull you away

I observe
the ambiance
created for my relaxation
the subtle nuances of flutes
harps and guitarpeggios
lull my spirit into
sweet transcendence
as you begin
to investigate
the needs of my muscles and skin

the fragrance of lavender
and jasmine fills the air
soft hues of
dispersed
light make
my eyes feel heavy
while my feels light

fully exposed
yet safe in your care
I know so little of you
but I trust you
as you run your hands
down my body
with gentle skill

I feel your hands
smooth yet strong
carefully you massage
fingers and thumbs
over my back
up and down
kneading
pressing
rubbing
gliding over my skin
no rush
no going anywhere
just feeling their way
to make journeys that
require further explorations
finding knots
tendons and pressure points
I never knew existed
or had hidden
from public view

how do you feel
as you touch my skin
I know I am likely
just another body
one of many in your day
yet do you like
the feel of my skin
do you find pleasure
as you feel my tensions release
because of your hands
and elbows
do you feel safe
as you share this room too

the sensual time ends
far too soon
I am welcomed to dress
then sit awhile
and share some tea
enjoy another moment of
serenity

I close my eyes one last time
as I finish my tea
and take a moment
to capture some sensual
snapshots of my time
under your palms
remembering the feel of your
fingertips
as the memories
begin to massage my
soul and spirit
taking final notes of
gently swaying melodies
the scent of jasmine
the feel of your body
pressing up against mine
the way you kneaded away
points of tension
so I can
rise once more
a better person
to face
the rest of my day
with a subtle glow
unmistakably
open for the more
this universe can
bring
