here you are
in front of me
portrayed for us
so confident
displayed in your glory
the artist’s blessed muse
with glistening skin
bathed in sunrise hues
amidst the rocks and waves

you have given
full permission
to the painter
to share your naked
body and soul
with me
in essence
inviting me
to gaze with intent
to ogle and
stare
strutinise every detail
of your body
for as long as I can
endure

but there is an
inherent
dilemma

you see
if I cast my eyes your way
for too long
my devoted attention
will be frowned upon
by the other guests
from this small town
who
will generate
questions
and assumptions
regarded my curiosity
regarding your
sumptuous
voluptuous
naked form
all whilst they are
also secretly trying to
enjoy your exhibit
with glances fleeting
and frequent
