I know it’s cliché
but sometimes the cliché is
perfection
I was lost in a blur
just another body in a room
when
during a meet and greet
my friend introduced me to
my future her
she smiled and said hi–
the Earth stopped spinning
as her smile lit up the room
and I knew right then
